l am thinking about which vehicle to take on a long road trip. l am planning to put about 2400 miles round trip. l have a new four door Jeep that is comfortable, even a Ford Superduty, but l am leaning toward my old Volvo 240 because it is comfortable and gets great gas mileage. The only problem is that it is nearly 20 years old. My Jeep is less than a year old, and my truck is not even seven years old.

What would you take?

l would take the 240. l know many people who have traveled more than 2400 miles in their 240.
Before you go, you should get a tune up, oil change, check timing, etc.
Plus, the gas mileage is far superior to the superduty and the jeep.

if your 240 is in good shape, l would take that [i keep a 89' 245 just for trips or to go to the city]
however if your super-duty is a diesel and the trip planned is all interstate this is the way to go [a real blast for long distance without much regard for speed limits]
either way have fun and put safety fast.
