the car came with 2 keys, my grandma has the main one and l had the other one. l lost my keys somewhere in the house and l truely have looked everywhere. l normally keep them on the key rack, but l took it off to get a cd from the car. l know its not in the car cause l locked it after. For some reason l just cant remember what l did with them. l checked all laundry, machines, counters, drawers, under beds, couches, and cushions. l know its got to be here somewhere but its driving me insanse, l feel like l lost a part of my life..lol. How much would it cost to replace? Has anyone been in this situation before?

It will appx cost $200. l have an audi and thats how much mine costs. They are in the same family of cars.

your probably looking at the £150 mark because l think u need them programmed aswell

l guess this would depend on the type of keys ur car has. If it has an immobilizer inside the key, u will need to have the dealership program the actual key. If it is that there is a key & a separate remote device, it will be much easier self-task.

Three options.
1. Immobilizer Key
Buy the same exact model blank key from eBay. It should be around $20 USD. Go to the dealership & tell them u have a blank replacement key & that u just want to get it programmed to fit the car. The dealer may or may not charge u for diong this. But if they do, they will charge 30 minutes to one hour of labor.

2. Regular key with remote
Buy the key & remote from eBay. This should be $20 bucks as well. Make sure to get programming instructions before buying or ask that it will be provided. Just follow the easy directions to program the remote & go to the nearest locksmith to engrave the new key with ur grandmothers. Should be another $20 bucks.

3. Pay about $200 at the dealership for a replacement.

Just check out eBay. Some even have numbers to call in with questions. Ask all the questions & get before purchase.
