Depends really.

Let is put it into the human perspective.

Say u wake up in the morning, & decide to go for a run.

Do u stretch first, then run? Or do u just run?

If u just run, u will get cramps, hurt yourself, etc.

Same idea. The car is new. It needs broken in. It does not need to be thrashed on, while it is adjusting to being driven.

Good job on taking it to 130. It is people like you, who end up frequenting the mechanics. And complaining that their car is not ''reliable anymore''.

Nevermind that the speedlimit in most places is around 60. You're really not going that slow, if you're doing 50.

New cars will have a break-in period explained in the owner is manual, if applicable. Most new cars do not have break-in periods. And limiting speed to 45-50 may have been good advice for new cars in the 1950's. But it is more of a superstition now.
