l got a hole in the out-take power steering hose, & did not know but still drove (yah l know) so it blew the rack&pin,,,so l took it off my spare 95 960 & put it on the 96 volvo
AND l didnt know the pump was bad (i should have) so it blew the fresh rack&pin so l replaced the pump & tensioner,,,but it was to no avail rack still blown,,, the pump is still good and l located another rack in nj,,,
so do you think the new/used rack (which is good) will blow even though l changed the pump,,,

l would change everything out at the same time, honestly. Or at least take the parts l was thinking about keeping to the local foreign car parts store to get tested or checked out by an expert.
